Pit Depth Gauge

Getting accurate pit depths and corrosion profiles can sometimes be a problem. Measuring on rounded surfaces or upside down could yield unreliable results. The digital pit depth gauge with bridge is designed for easy use, accuracy, and repeatability. Now available with a choice of bridging bars for different applications corrosion profiles can be plotted quickly and accurately by moving the probe and indicator along the bridging bar. Notched feet prevent the bridge from rocking on a rounded surface. The left-handed scale measures increasing depth as the tip drops into the pit. A locking adjustment screw allows instant calibration to a reference surface. Thumbscrews facilitate one-handed operation. We are offering digital pit gauge without bridge will allow the peak to valley height of corroded surface or blast cleaned surfaces to be accurately measured. The digital pit gauge without bridge is initially set to zero with the glass zero plate and the foot is then placed on the corroded profile. The foot sits on top of the peaks and the sharp stylus travels to the bottom of the valley, allowing the gauge to display the peak to valley height. Number of measurement can be made at different locations to get maximum depth of pit. The digital pit gauge without bridge can also be used to measure the effects of corrosion i.e. Pitting and cavity depth. Supplied in carrying case with glass plate for zero setting and battery fitted. Measurement is possible in mm or inches as per your choice using mm/inch switch. Digital pit gauge can be used with measurement resolution of 1 micron and precision measurements are possible even at critical locations. The instrument is supplied with calibration certificate traceable to national standards from reputed laboratory as per iso 9001:2000 norms.
